The Print To Image printer driver serves to create a BMP image from printer output and rechannel it to a your default printer driver. When updates become available, they will be listed on this page.
Important Note:The printer driver currently only runs on Win98. Do not install on Win95 or NT.
Installation: Depending on when you purchased your Unitype product, the PrintToImage driver files may or may not be installed on your system. If there is a print.txt file in your Unitype directory, then the driver is currently available on your system. You must follow the instructions in print.txt to install the driver. If you do not follow these instructions, the driver will not work. If you don't already have the driver on your system, you can download the prntdrv.zip file here. We recommend that you uncompress the files into the unitype directory, otherwise there may be some slight inconsistencies when following the directions in the print.txt file.
(If you don't know how to uncompress ZIP files, we recommend that you download the latest WinZip archive utility here.)
Missing mfc42.dll: The PrintToImage printer driver will not run if you do not have the mfc42.dll available on your computer system. If necessary, download this file and unzip it into the windows system directory: mfc42.dll.zip. (Approximately 500KB).
Margins:The most important issue to be aware of at this time, is that the final output may have a wider left margin an a narrower right margin than what is designated in Page Setup. This can be compensated for by increasing the value of the Right Margin settings (in Page Setup).
Do not set as default printer driver: If you set the PrintToImage driver as the system default, it will not know where to send the final printer output. Our driver acts as an intermediary, sending the final output to your default system printer. To activate our driver (after it has been properly installed) simply choose it from the list of printer drivers in the File/Print dialog.
